In a landslide vote, Barack Obama, the first African-American candidate has won in the race for President. This is obviously a huge historical day for everyone, even to me it still feels surreal.
What are you feeling right now? |

1 Best Song From Folie A Deux So Far
Posted
1 mo ago
As of now, the original release date would have had the coveted album, Folie A Deux, in your hands by now, but because of Fall Out Boy caring about not getting gimmicky(which we both hate and appreciate), it will be a little over a month before that becomes reality.
Fortunately, we've been able to hear a total of four songs from the album so far, giving us an idea of what we can expect which in my opinion is a very satisfying track listing. So what do you think is the best song/single from the album released so far? Maybe all of them? None? |

3 Folie A Deux Delay, What Do You Say?

So, seeing as Fall Out Boy's future album, Folie A Deux, will be released later this year, it seems that December really will be 'glowing in flames'. The official release date has been set for December 16 of this year, instead of November 4th because of the band's decision not to tamper with what may be the most history making election so far.
But what was your reaction to the news? Do you think the guys made the right decision? |

In Fall Out Boy's newest music video, 'I Don't Care', there are, of course, moments which raise eyebrows and bring about roars of laughter around Buzznet, if you're a fan(or even if you're not). So, which is your favorite?

8 '08 VMA Predictions: Best Rock Video Award

That time of year is here again. The ceremonies are almost upon us and it's time to get ourselves in gear and choose who we want to win a Moonman. So who will it be for you this year? I list 'em, you pick 'em. Simple as that. Which band do you think deserves to win a Moonman for Best Rock Video of the year? Hm?
[Depending on the amount of response from this particular one, I might do another category or two, if you'd like me to. Please give me feedback in comments and let me know.] |

4 CitizensFOB, Raise Your Voice!

It seems that Fall Out Boy using a series of clues to lead up to the announcement of a new album, Folie a Deux, has caused a quite a bit of excitement on both sides of the fence. Some fans are stoked(like me), some slightly dissapointed and some flat out ticked off that the maze that we were led through for a few days, merely led up to (GASP) something as small as revealing the release date and free demos on a mixtape for the new album. How rude, right? [Note the sarcasm]
But...let's have a vote of our own, shall we, buzznet style? Make your opinion known below. |

14 F'N MTV Premiere: Followup Poll

Vintage videos, Panic At The Disco, Snoop's baby-raising advice, Flo Rida's life story, beaming newlyweds, Pete Wentz dropping the f-bomb only one time: how did it all add up for you? I posted a poll last week asking you to decide what it would be like before anyone had even seen it. But now, just answer this simple question...did you enjoy the show after seeing it? Simple as that. Yes or No?
Feel free though to express opinions in comments. |

6 F'n MTV: Will It "Blow Our Minds"?
Posted
5 mos ago
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past month, you probably have heard of the new show called F'n MTV which premieres Friday the 13th, on MTV at 8 p.m. The show of course will be hosted by none other than Pete Wentz and will feature rare and unreleased music videos along with live performances with various artists such as Panic At The Disco who will be performing live this week. When asked in an interview with AbsolutePunk, Pete explained this: "We had an idea for a show to be on a music network that would play only videos ... and had the idea to be on MTV, as the name is 'Music Television,' "I feel like a lot of times people complain because sandpaper is too rough, you know? I don't think that this show is going to revolutionize the world. It's not going to change music. It doesn't show that Pete Wentz is the hero of the MTV generation or anything like that. All I wanted to see is some more videos get played on MTV."
So it seems that Pete isn't in this for the fame or anything of the sort, he just simply wants to bring back music to "Music Television". He also says, "[It] is going to probably blow everyone's mind. I can't even explain what people should expect.". But what should we expect from the show? What are your opinions? Will it be a hit or a flop? Is Pete biting off more than he can chew? I want opinions! Opinions, I say! |

2 Will Bands Only Release Albums On The Internet In The Future?
Posted

You remember that time when you were dying to buy the new CD from your favorite band and bought it from your local music store? What if that were to become simply a memory? With technology the way it is and access to music on the internet whether free or bought becomes easier quicker to get, it's been talked about that bands might just take their albums straight to the internet and not even bother to put out CDs in stores. Personally, I like to get my hands on the music I love, not just look at it on my ipod. But what do you think?
[And no, this poll is not about Fall Out Boy. It's about music, generally. The only reason I used their cover was because it's an older album. Just wanted to clear that up, please continue.] |
